The Craven County School District is getting ready to present a new, elective route for students to go to school.
Craven Live is a virtual school program that the district authorities say has been in progress for over a year.
Craven Live is a combination of face to face collaboration and online exercises to make a mixed encounter for students — students like Andrew Gilgo.
“People have the chance to still do their work and not get behind and still understand all their lessons,” says Gilgo, an eighth-grade student at H.J. MacDonald Middle School in New Bern.
Gilgo says he trusts Craven Live will be useful because when students can’t physically be at school, they will even now have all the resources they need and remain on top of work.
